You’re not using your whole brain

The 6-part method to think sharper and faster...

Hey Full Potential Zoners,

I want to help you add additional income each month with my totally free 30 Day Offer Challenge.

Whether it’s a course, a digital product, a lead magnet, a community, or something else—if you’ve been sitting on an idea, this is how you finally get it live.

You’ll map it out.
You’ll launch it.
You’ll start earning.

I’ll walk you through it, one day at a time.

Live. Step by step. Nothing held back.

Now, let’s get back to it.

We don’t need louder voices— we need better thinking tools.

Most arguments sound like chaos— not because people don’t care, but because they’re all speaking from different corners of the room.

First, please check out the incredible opportunity from today’s sponsor. 👇

Don’t ask “Would you buy this?”

Ask “Would this save you time?”

Here’s the simple test:

  • If it takes someone from confused → clear, it will sell.

  • If it takes someone from stuck → moving forward, it will sell.

  • If it takes someone from “I don’t know how” → “I can do this now,” it will sell.

  • That’s where creatyl makes it effortless.

Here's how it works:

✅ Use your own knowledge to build something people want
✅ One platform instead of 6+ tools to use
✅ Get paid while you sleep

BONUS: For the next 5 people who enroll in an active plan - I will personally help setup your creatyl store and first offer.

Use my sheet to try on every hat— and change how your team thinks together.

You don’t need to fight to be heard.

You don’t need to win every point.

You just need a better way to think together.

Today we are going to help leaders master this by using:

‘6 Thinking Hats Method' (credit to Dr. Edward de Bono).

Let’s dive in!

2 Real-World Scenarios to Master the 6 Thinking Hats

1. You’re Facing a Customer Complaint Surge

Scenario: A pricing update backfires and your support team is drowning in angry messages.

  • White Hat (Facts):

    • Gather numbers—how many complaints, what they’re about, response times.

    • Share only what’s confirmed, no guesses.

  • Red Hat (Feelings):

    • Ask, “How is this landing on you? Stressed? Worried about fallout?”

    • Let the team vent without judging.

  • Black Hat (Risks):

    • Ask, “If we don’t act, what could happen? Will churn rise? Will social media blow up?”

  • Yellow Hat (Positives):

    • Point out, “This is a chance to show we listen fast. We can even build trust if we handle it well.”

  • Green Hat (Ideas):

    • Brainstorm quick responses—apology note, FAQ, personal outreach, or a temporary discount.

  • Blue Hat (Close):

    • Pick one action to test now.

    • Assign who owns it and set a 48-hour review.

2. You’re Dealing With Team Conflict After a Mistake

Scenario: A big presentation crashed, and now the team is tense and blaming each other.

  • White Hat (Facts):

    • List what actually happened: when the slides froze, who stepped in, what clients saw.

  • Red Hat (Feelings):

    • Ask, “How did that feel in the moment?”

    • Let frustration or embarrassment be voiced.

  • Black Hat (Risks):

    • Ask, “What happens if we don’t fix this? Could it hurt future deals?”

  • Yellow Hat (Positives):

    • Highlight, “Even with the crash, we improvised and still answered their questions well.”

  • Green Hat (Ideas):

    • Brainstorm fixes like a tech rehearsal, a backup laptop, or offline slides.

  • Blue Hat (Close):

    • Confirm next steps and who’s responsible for backup plans.

Most people get stuck on one way of thinking
they only ask “Is this good enough?” and stay frozen.

Here’s a better way to unlock your next idea:
look at it through 6 quick lenses.

1. White Hat → Facts
What do you already know people ask you for?
What’s proven (not just guessed) to be helpful?

2. Yellow Hat → Value
What’s the easiest win you could give someone right now?
Where’s the clear time saved, stress removed, or result gained?

3. Black Hat → Risks
What’s the smallest version you can launch so it’s low risk?
What can you cut so it doesn’t feel heavy to build?

4. Red Hat → Feelings
What are people frustrated about that you can fix fast?
What’s the thing that makes them say “I’m so stuck on this”?

5. Green Hat → Creativity
How could you explain this in a new way
a checklist, a script, a single-page guide?

6. Blue Hat → Next Step
What’s the simplest way to package it so someone can grab it today?

Run your idea through those 6 quick lenses and you’ll see:
you don’t need a big plan. You just need one clear, useful thing.

That’s exactly what creatyl helps with.

Once you know the small thing someone would buy, it gives you the tools to package it and share it—fast, without overthinking.

Here's how you can make it real today:

Step 1: Choose Your Focus

  • Choose one scenario from today’s lessons you want to improve.

  • Think about why it feels most important right now.

  • Write it like this:

    • “Today, I want to handle [scenario] with more clarity by using the hats.”

Step 2: Spot Your Window

  • Look ahead at your day.

    • Where could the hats actually be useful?

  • Find one real moment—a quick team check-in, a reply to a tough email, or a meeting that feels unclear.

  • Write it down if it helps.

Step 3: Plan One Move Ahead

  • Before that moment, ask:

    • “What’s one simple way I can use the hats here?”

  • Then choose your move:

    • Ask for facts first (White Hat).

    • Invite feelings without judgment (Red Hat).

    • Name one risk out loud (Black Hat).

    • Share one positive angle (Yellow Hat).

    • Suggest one new idea (Green Hat).

    • Or keep it organized with Blue Hat by saying, “Let’s go one step at a time.”

  • That’s your only job today. One move. Simple and clear.

Step 4: Watch What Shifts

  • After the moment, ask:

    • Did it help the conversation feel clearer?

    • Did people open up more?

    • Did it calm the tension or spark a better idea?

  • Write one sentence about what you noticed.

Step 5: Lock It In

  • At the end of the day, say:

    • “Today, I used the hats by [what you did], and this happened: [result].”

  • If you’re up for it, add:

    • “Tomorrow, I’ll try this same move in a new moment.”

AI Prompt: “Act as a meeting guide. Help me prepare for one real-life moment today where I want to use the 6 Thinking Hats to bring more clarity and balance to the discussion.”

Here’s what I need help with:

  • My Scenario: [Insert what you’re facing, e.g., “A quick team check-in about a project that’s off track”]

  • The Situation: [Insert where this might happen today, e.g., “We have a 15-minute meeting this afternoon”]

  • What I Usually Do: [Insert your normal reaction, e.g., “I jump straight to solutions without hearing everyone out”]

  • What I Want Instead: [Insert your goal, e.g., “I want to guide the talk so it covers facts, feelings, risks, and ideas before deciding”]

Give me:

  • A simple step-by-step plan for how to use the 6 Hats (Blue, White, Red, Black, Yellow, Green) in this moment.

  • 1 phrase I can say to myself in the moment to stay focused.

  • 1 phrase I can say out loud to get others to think more clearly.

  • A quick reflection question I can ask myself after the moment.

Keep it very simple and easy to follow. I just want to feel more clear, calm, and organized when I use the hats today.”

The power of the method isn’t the hats—it’s the questions you ask.

Who gets to speak next? What’s missing here?

Are we listing facts, naming feelings, spotting risks?

That little pause—hat by hat—is where change happens.

Carry that mindset forward. Today sets tomorrow’s tone.

Until next time and with lots of love,

Justin
