Hey friends,
Every new role starts with the same thought.
You may not say it out loud.
But it’s there: “Don’t mess this up.”
I still feel that every time I step into something new.
But first, a quick build-in-public update…
💭 One Day, I Stopped Guessing What to Create
For a long time, I thought content was about being creative.
Coming up with something new every day. Trying to be interesting. Trying to stand out.
But most days, it felt like guessing.
What should I post? Will this work? Does anyone even care?
Then I noticed something simple.
The best ideas were already in front of me.
In comments.
In messages.
In questions people kept asking.
Not once. But over and over again.
That’s when it clicked.
You don’t need more ideas. You need to pay attention better.
So I tried something different.
Instead of asking, “What should I create?”
I asked, “What are people already asking me?”
And everything got easier.
Content became clearer.
People started responding more.
Conversations started happening.
And then something bigger happened.
Those same questions turned into something more than posts.
They turned into outlines.
Simple guides, courses, templates.
Things people wanted saved, not just liked.
That’s when I realized:
The best products don’t start as products.
They start as answers.
And when you keep answering the same thing again and again…
You’re not repeating yourself.
You’re building something.
That idea is a big part of what we’re building with creatyl.
A place where your everyday answers can turn into something people can actually use and buy over and over.
A Quick Note
Here’s what I’ve learned: Most people don’t lack skills.
They just don’t know how to turn them into something clear people will buy.
So nothing comes from it.
This Thursday, I’m hosting a free live session.
I’ll show you how to take one thing you already know and turn it into a simple digital offer.
If you’ve ever thought, “I could help people… I just don’t know how to package it,”
This will make it simple.
Those first 120 days are not about proving you know everything.
They are about showing people can count on you.
That is what opens every door.
Today we are going to help you master this by using:
‘First 120 Days - How To Win Your First 120 Days On The Job'.
Let’s dive in!

4 Moments That Make or Break Your First 120 Days
1. Your Manager Is Vague and Hard to Read
Scenario: You’re in your first 2–3 weeks, and your manager gives unclear directions.
What most people do:
Stay quiet and guess
What to do instead:
Take control of clarity
Say:
“I want to make sure I’m focused on the right things. If I get this done, what does success look like to you?”
“If I had to prioritize just one thing this week, what would you pick?”
After every meeting, send a short recap:
“Here’s what I’m taking away… Did I miss anything?”
You become easy to manage. Leaders trust people who reduce confusion.
2. You Notice Something Inefficient Early On
Scenario: You see a broken process in your first month.
What most people do:
Stay quiet because they’re new
What to do instead:
Ask, don’t accuse
Say:
“I noticed we do it this way. Is there a reason behind it?”
“Would it be helpful if I tested a small improvement here?”
Fix it quietly first if possible, then show results:
“I tried a small change and saved 2 hours this week. Want me to roll it out?”
You show initiative without stepping on toes.
3. You Make a Mistake in Your First 60 Days
Scenario: You mess something up early.
What most people do:
Hide it or over-explain
What to do instead:
Own it fast and clean
Say:
“I made a mistake on this. Here’s what happened.”
“Here’s how I’ve already fixed it.”
“Here’s what I’ll do to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
Add one line:
“Anything else you’d want me to do differently?”
Trust grows faster when you handle mistakes well than when you avoid them.

1. You Don’t Know What to Post
Scenario: You open the app and feel stuck.
Check your last few DMs or comments
Pick one real question
Turn it into a simple post with a quick lesson
Before posting, ask one person:
“Would this help you?”
Adjust based on their reply.
2. You’re Posting but No One Engages
Scenario: You’re consistent, but it feels quiet.
After posting, spend 10 minutes commenting on others’ posts
Add one useful idea or ask a strong question
Go back and add a comment to your post:
“What’s your biggest challenge with this?”
This pulls people into the conversation.
3. You Want to Turn Content Into Income
Scenario: Your posts get attention, but no income yet.
Find posts people saved or replied to
Turn one into a simple guide or checklist
Ask:
“Would you want a step-by-step version of this?”
Put it together and upload it to creatyl.com so people can actually use and buy it.

Here's how you can make it real today:
Step 1: Choose your focus
Pick one situation you want to handle better today:
Don’t overthink it. Just pick the one that matters most today.
Step 2: Set your moment
Choose one moment today where this will likely happen:
A meeting
A message you need to send
A quick check-in with your manager
Tell yourself:
“When this moment happens, I will handle it better.”
Step 3: Take one clear action
In that moment, do just one simple thing:
Ask a clear question
Share a quick update
Speak up with one idea
Own something directly
Step 4: Notice the shift
After it happens, pause and ask:
Did the conversation feel easier?
Did I get more clarity?
Did people respond better?
Step 5: End with one line
Before your day ends, write:
“Today I handled ___ better by ___.”
or“Tomorrow I will handle ___ even better by ___.”
AI Prompt: “Act as a workplace coach. Help me prepare for one key moment today so I handle it clearly, confidently, and effectively during my first 120 days on the job.
My Focus Area: [Insert one: getting clarity, speaking up, fixing a mistake, or sharing progress]
Situation I Expect Today: [Describe the moment briefly, e.g., “team meeting,” “update to my manager,” “replying to a message,” etc.]
My Goal for This Moment: [What I want to achieve, e.g., “get clear direction,” “be seen as reliable,” “communicate better”]
Concerns or Challenges: [What I’m worried about, e.g., “saying the wrong thing,” “not sounding confident,” “being ignored”]
Provide:
A simple plan for how I should handle this moment step by step.
Exact words or phrases I can use so I sound clear and confident.
One small action I can take that will make the biggest difference.
A quick mistake to avoid in this situation.
A short way to follow up after the moment to leave a strong impression.”

Your first 120 days are not about proving how smart you are.
They are about showing how clear, reliable, and easy you are to work with.
You don’t need to do everything right.
You need to handle moments well when they matter.
If people can depend on you, you are already ahead.
Until next time and with lots of love,
Justin
