Hey Full Potential Zoners,
The problem isn't your people— it's what they've been forced to normalize.
Your team won't fall apart from a lack of talent, they'll break down from bad habits.
No slides shows - you will be building with me, live at your computer/laptop.
In this free workshop, you’ll build a course you can actually sell — by the end of the session.
✅ We’ll build it together, step by step
✅ You’ll leave with a course ready to sell
✅ Plus a powerful launch plan to use
6,000+ people have already launched this way — not because they were “ready,”
but because they started.
Seats are free — but limited.
Great leadership isn’t about doing more.
It’s doing less of what breaks trust— and more of what builds it.
Today we are going to help leaders master this by using:
‘Instead of This, Do This'.
Let’s dive in!

Real Moments, Real Fixes: What Great Leaders Do Differently
1. When a teammate is falling behind but no one says anything
Scenario: You notice a teammate is missing deadlines, but no one addresses it directly — tension builds silently.
Start with care, not blame:
"Hey, I’ve noticed you’ve had a lot on your plate lately. Want to talk through anything or delegate part of the load?"
Ask instead of assuming:
"Is there something blocking your progress that I can help with?"
Create a path forward:
"Let’s work together on a quick plan to get things back on track. Even 1–2 small wins this week could help."
This shows accountability without shame — and opens the door to real support and results.
2. When your boss gives you unclear tasks, then gets upset later
Scenario: You’re assigned something vague like “put together a summary,” but when you turn it in, your boss is frustrated that it’s not what they meant.
Clarify before starting:
"Just so I’m clear, what exactly should this summary include — is it data-focused, visual, or more of a narrative?"
Mirror back the ask:
"Great. So you’re looking for a one-pager with highlights and key numbers — nothing too deep. I’ll send it over by Thursday morning."
Confirm expectations in writing (nicely):
"Here’s what I’ll include, and the timeline. Let me know if anything should shift!"
You protect your time, reduce rework, and earn trust by showing you listen and want to get it right.
3. When someone makes a joke that crosses the line
Scenario: In a meeting, someone makes a joke or comment that others laugh off, but it clearly made someone uncomfortable.
Privately, not publicly:
"Hey, I wanted to flag something. That joke earlier might not have landed how you meant. I saw a few people get quiet."
Keep it short and clear:
"I know the intent wasn’t bad, but we’ve got to keep the space safe for everyone. Let’s be more mindful moving forward."
Offer to support culture reset:
"If you ever want to talk through what’s okay vs. not okay here, I’m happy to help. We’re all figuring this out together."
You protect the team’s safety while showing respect and giving space for learning instead of punishment.

You don’t need to pitch harder. You need to make it easier for people to say yes.
This week’s method shows you how to sell without pressure — just clear value, real wins, and simple next steps.
Here are 3 real-life ways to use this today:
1. You’ve created something, but you’re not sure how to sell it
Scenario: You’ve made a great template, guide, or worksheet — but have no idea how to start selling it.
Go to creatyl.com.
Pick your offer and write one clear win it gives people.
Set a single price. Add one sentence of proof (quote, DM, or your own result).
Add a refund option or a no-risk way to try.
Share your link with just 3 people who’ve asked about this topic before.
2. You’re talking a lot about your offer, but people aren’t buying
Scenario: You’re doing all the talking, explaining, and convincing — but no one’s moving.
Go back and read your last 5 DMs or comments from people who showed interest.
Highlight the words they used to describe their pain or problem.
Rewrite your sales message using their exact words — not yours.
Then send it to one person and ask: “Does this sound like something that would help you?”

You just need one win people will pay for.
If you’ve been stuck rewriting, tweaking, or waiting for “perfect,” skip all that.
creatyl helps you stop building in silence and start testing in real life:
✅ Make one clear offer that solves one clear problem
✅ Share it today — no setup, no design needed
✅ Learn fast, sell early, improve as you go
You don’t need more time.
You need movement.

Here's how you can make it real today:
Step 1: Pick your “instead” moment
Think back to a moment this week when something didn’t sit right —
a moment that felt rushed, tense, confusing, or unbalanced. Now look at the graphic and choose one habit you want to trade today.
That’s the one you’ll work on today.
Step 2: Set your action cue
Choose one moment in your day to try the new habit —
maybe before a team check-in, during your lunch break, or in your inbox.Write this where you’ll see it:
“Today I do the better thing instead.”
Step 3: Make the better choice - once
Here’s how to trade the habit for something better in a single move:
Instead of micromanaging → Ask, “What do you need from me — or would you rather run with it?”
Instead of hiding info → Forward a helpful message or file without being asked
Instead of rushing → Ask, “What’s the real priority right now?”
Instead of ignoring feedback → Reply with: “That’s helpful. Let me think on it and follow up.”
Instead of tolerating toxicity → Say privately, “That comment didn’t feel right. Can we talk?”
Instead of skipping recognition → Thank someone clearly, and in front of others if you can
Instead of skipping boundaries → Block 30 minutes today just for you — and protect it
Do it once. On purpose.
Step 4: Notice what felt different
Later in the day, ask yourself:
Did that one action shift the energy, even slightly?
Did someone open up, calm down, or respond better?
Did it help you feel clearer about what matters?
Jot a word or two. Just notice it.
Step 5: End your day with one line
Before bed, write:
“The better move today was ____, and here’s what it did: ____.”
or“Next time I’m tempted to go back to old habits, I’ll try this instead: ____.”
AI Prompt: “Act as a leadership coach. Create a simple action plan to help me replace one unhelpful workplace habit with a better one today.
Context: I’m working on the “Instead of This, Do This” challenge.
Chosen Habit to Replace: [Insert the habit you want to change, e.g., "Micromanaging" or "Ignoring feedback"]
Better Action I Want to Practice: [Insert the new behavior, e.g., "Trusting my team with ownership" or "Listening actively and following up"]
Provide:
A short 3-step plan for how I can practice this new behavior during my workday.
Specific phrases or examples I can use in real conversations or messages to show this change.
One reflection question I can ask myself at the end of the day to measure if it worked.
One small adjustment tip if the situation doesn’t go as planned.
Keep the advice realistic and simple enough to apply in a normal workday.”

We all have habits we fall back on — usually without thinking.
But what you choose instead can stop the cycle and start something stronger.
That’s what this work is really about: choosing what’s better when it’s hardest to do so.
The next time something feels off, don’t default — decide.
That’s when things start to change.
Until next time and with lots of love,
Justin
