4 Real Ways to Succeed In Any Role
1. The Silent Zoom Call Fixer
Scenario: You’re in a virtual meeting, and people are confused. Nobody’s sure who’s doing what after the call.
Speak up before the meeting ends.
Say, “Can I recap what I think the next steps are, and you can tell me if I missed anything?”
You clarify the chaos, and you instantly become the person who helps everyone move forward.
Post the recap in chat or email so it’s easy to find later.
Don’t wait for someone else to do it.
This shows ownership, clarity, and initiative — all in under 30 seconds.
2. The New Person Who Connects Veterans
Scenario: You’re brand new, but you notice two senior teammates are solving similar problems in different ways.
Message them privately and say, “Hey, I noticed you and [other teammate] are working on similar stuff — would it help to connect?”
You build value without needing experience.
You help others win. That’s leadership from day one.
Keep a quick list of people’s specialties in a doc you can refer to when you see overlaps.
This takes zero authority and shows people-skills that matter.
3. The Repeat Task Time-Saver
Scenario: You keep seeing people waste time rewriting the same instructions for a recurring project.
Turn those steps into a simple Google Doc checklist and title it: “How We Do [X] – 3-Minute Version.”
Say: “Hey, I made this draft checklist to save us time next time. Happy to update it if anything’s off.”
You didn’t wait to be asked. You made life easier for everyone. And now they’ll look to you next time something needs fixing.
This shows you spot problems early and make work smoother without adding pressure.
4. The Low-Risk Idea Launcher
Scenario: You have a small idea that might help, but it’s not fully formed. You don’t want to sound silly.
At the next team meeting, say,
“This may not be perfect, but I had a small idea we could try on one client/project to see if it helps.”
Framing it as a test removes risk.
You’re not pitching perfection — you’re suggesting a trial.
Volunteer to run the test yourself. That’s where you show real value.
This is how you bring new ideas without waiting for a title or permission.
Pick the right offer for you (digital product, coaching, or lead magnet)
Help you go live — with something you can start sharing that day
This works whether you’re just starting, trying to grow, or done waiting around.
If you’re ready to sell something real — we’ll help you do it.

Your job pays you.
But it may never free you.
If you’ve been thinking, “I need something on the side,” — this week’s graphic is for you.
It breaks down how to go from stuck to side income, even if you’re starting from scratch.
Here are 3 ways to use it today:
1. The One-Line Offer Test
Scenario: You’ve got an idea, but don’t know if it’s worth doing.
→ Write one sentence:
“This helps [who] fix [problem].”
→ Ask 5 strangers:
“Would you pay $20 for this today?”
Don’t ask your friends.
Doers test ideas with people who don’t owe them anything.
2. The Skill-to-Cash Stack
Scenario: You want income but don’t know where to start.
→ Step 1: Pick one skill you already have
→ Step 2: Trade it for fast cash — just 1 client or 1 offer
→ Step 3: Use that same idea to build a product or tool
→ Step 4: Set it up once. Get paid again and again.
Stack slowly.
This is how real people go from time-for-money to passive income.
3. The Page Starter
Scenario: You’ve been planning your offer page forever but haven’t launched.
Go to creatyl.com and create your free account.
Use the tools to easily create your offer.
→ Say what it helps with
→ List two reasons it works
→ Add a chart, a DM, or a win from a real person
→ Hit publish
You don’t need fancy.
You just need done.

Here's how you can make it real today:
Step 1: Choose your focus
Think back to a moment this week when:
a meeting dragged,
a project got stuck,
someone looked stressed, or
a problem went unspoken.
Now look at the 7 habits from the graphic and ask:
Which one could’ve helped most?
That’s your focus for today.
Step 2: Set your moment
Pick one clear time today — after a meeting, before lunch, or during a quiet work block — where you’ll make a move.
Set a short reminder:
“Add real value in one small way.”
Keep it simple. You just need one chance.
Step 3: Take one clear step
Now act on the habit you chose. Just one small, visible move that helps someone or moves the work forward.
You don’t need permission. You don’t need a meeting.
You just need one small move that helps.
Step 4: Watch what shifted
Later in the day, ask yourself:
Did anyone respond differently?
Did the work move forward even a little?
Did someone thank you, smile, or copy your idea?
Small moves often create ripples. Catch them.
Step 5: End your day with one line
Before your day ends, write:
“Today I added value by ______.”
or“Next time I want to help more, I’ll try ______.”
One line is enough. That’s how good habits start.
AI Prompt: “Act as a workplace coach. Create a simple, step-by-step plan to help me take one real action today that adds visible value at work, based on [pick one lesson from “Succeed in Any Role — 7 Ways to Add Huge Value sheet].”
Provide:
Step 1: A quick reflection question to help me understand what small action would make the biggest difference today.
Step 2: 2–3 real examples of how someone could apply this skill in a normal workday (meetings, messages, teamwork, etc.).
Step 3: A short, clear sentence I could actually say or write to take this action.
Step 4: One simple way to notice if it worked by the end of the day.
Step 5: A one-line reflection I can write to close the day and track progress.
Keep the wording conversational, professional, and easy to follow.
Make sure every step helps me take visible, useful action — not just think about it.”

When you care about the outcome more than the task, people notice.
When you speak up before things fall apart, the team gets stronger.
When you share what works, others move faster too.
Value isn’t about titles or roles — it’s about what you make possible.
This is what it looks like to lead from any seat.
Until next time and with lots of love,
Justin
