The best answers don’t impress.
They show self-awareness and care.
That’s what hiring managers remember.
Today we are going to help leaders master this by using:
‘Win Every Interview'.
Let’s dive in!

Scenario: You’re 10 minutes into the interview, and you’ve already said “sorry” three times. You feel like you’re talking too much, and you’re not sure if you’re making sense.
Don’t pretend you’re not nervous. They can tell.
Don’t keep talking in circles hoping the right words will come out.
Pause and own it.
Say: “Let me restart that answer more clearly.”
Breathe before you answer.
A 2-second pause makes you sound more thoughtful, not less confident.
Use this simple formula: Context → Action → Result.
Stick to one clear example at a time.
Interviewers don’t expect perfection. They want clarity, confidence, and real moments.
Scenario: You’re applying for a job in a different industry, and you’re worried they’ll think you’re not qualified.
Don’t start by saying, “I know I don’t have direct experience.”
Don’t list everything you’ve ever done hoping something sticks.
Lead with relevance.
Say: “I’ve led teams, managed deadlines, and solved problems under pressure—those skills translate directly here.”
Prove you’ve done your research.
Mention something specific about the company’s current work and tie your skills to it.
End with energy.
Say: “I’m not just interested in this field—I’ve already started doing [related thing] because this is where I want to grow long-term.”
Companies hire potential, not just experience.
Scenario: They hit you with: “If you were an animal, what would you be?” or “Tell me something not on your resume.”
Don’t say, “Uhhh, I don’t know.”
Don’t overthink it or try to sound super clever.
Use it as a window into your personality.
Example:
“I stay focused, I work hard, and I’m wired to help others succeed.”
Not-on-resume example:
“I run a weekend sports league. It’s helped me stay organized, manage people, and stay consistent.”
These aren’t trick questions—they’re designed to see how you think and how self-aware you are.
Scenario: You’ve made it through the whole interview… and now they ask if you have any questions. You panic and say, “No, I think you covered everything.”
Don’t say you have no questions.
Don’t ask about salary or time off as your only question.
Ask questions that show you’re thinking like someone already on the team:
“What would success look like in the first 90 days?”
“What do your top performers here tend to do differently?”
“What’s one thing you’re excited to improve or grow this year—and how could I support that?”
Great questions show you’re already visualizing yourself in the role and thinking like a problem-solver.
You want to make extra money. You’ve got drafts, outlines, brainstorms, and half-built pages.
The problem isn’t ideas — it’s momentum.
1. Choose the easiest win
Don’t chase your “big” idea. Look for something small and done-enough.
Ask: What could I finish and make helpful in 1–2 hours?
2. Make it solve one clear problem
Strip it down. Add a short intro or checklist.
Ask: What’s the one thing this helps someone do or decide faster?
3. Put it in a format someone can use today
PDF, checklist, script, mini training, swipe file — done is better than polished.
Ask: How would I send this to a friend if they needed it right now?
That’s it.
No sales page. No funnel. No 7-part sequence.
Just something real that helps.
🟢 Upload what you’ve got — even if it’s simple
🟢 Add a quick video if needed to explain how to use it
🟢 Share your product with one link (no tech required)
🟢 Use your dashboard to track leads, views, and sales
The work is already done.
Now it’s just about making it useful — and letting it work for you.
Step 1: Pick Your Focus
Choose the one moment that you want to feel stronger in.
Which of these feels most useful to you right now?
Staying calm and clear when you're nervous
Explaining why you're switching careers
Answering tricky or random questions
Asking smart questions at the end of an interview
Write down your choice in one sentence:
“I want to get better at _________.”
Step 2: Practice in Real Life
Look at your week. Where could this show up in daily life?
Find one normal, low-stakes moment—no interview required.
Examples:
A moment you need to explain something clearly
A time you’re asked a random question or put on the spot
A team meeting where you can ask a thoughtful question
A chat where you could try sounding more confident
You’re just looking for one moment where you can practice the skill in a safe setting.
Step 3: Try One Move
When the moment happens, ask yourself:
“What’s one small thing I could say or try right now to work on this?”
Then do just that one thing.
Say the short version.
Pause before speaking.
Speak up with your idea.
Ask a solid question.
That’s your move for the day. Quiet. Focused. Done.
Step 4: Notice What Happened
After it’s over, check in.
Did you feel clearer or more steady?
Did the other person respond differently?
Did it go better than expected—or just a little smoothe/r?
Big or small, your action made a shift.
That’s the whole point.
Step 5: Lock It In With One Line
At the end of the day, write this:
“Today, I worked on [your skill] by [what you did].”
Add this line too:
“Next time, I’ll try to go one step further by…”
This is where you build real momentum. One step at a time.
AI Prompt: “Act as a personal interview coach. Help me prepare a strong, real answer for one common interview moment I want to improve. Use the details below to guide your suggestions.
Focus Area: [Insert one — “Staying calm under pressure,” “Explaining a career change,” “Answering odd/tricky questions,” or “Asking smart end-of-interview questions”]
My Experience or Situation: [Briefly describe your experience, story, or why this skill matters to you]
My Goal: [Insert what you want — e.g., “Sound more confident,” “Make a clear connection to the new role,” “Handle surprise questions better,” “Ask something memorable”]
Provide:
A clear answer I could say in an interview, using my real story and simple wording
A short version (under 45 seconds) I can practice out loud
A tip to make my answer feel more natural and confident when I speak
One common mistake to avoid for this type of moment
Keep it practical, encouraging, and focused on real conversation—not sounding robotic.”
You’re not being judged — you’re being understood
You don’t need to say more — you need to say what matters.
Keep showing up with intention. That’s how people get hired.
Until next time and with lots of love,
Justin
