Most mistakes come from rushing.
Most regrets come from guessing.
Clarity is not natural—it’s designed.
The best decisions are made before the choice.
That happens when you use the right tools.
Today we are going to help leaders master this by using:
‘12 Models For Decision Making'.
Let’s dive in!

Scenario: Half the team wants Feature A, the other half wants Feature B. Everyone’s stuck.
Say:
“Let’s try a Decision Matrix. We’ll list both options, choose what matters most, then score it together.”
Use criteria like cost, time, user value, and revenue potential.
Have each person score both features. Average the scores.
Ask:
“Does anything surprise you?”
This lowers tension and invites better thinking.
If the team is still split, switch to Six Thinking Hats to look at it from different angles.
It replaces opinion with structure and helps the group move forward fast.
Scenario: Your boss says: “Find a smart way to cut $50K.”
Say:
“I’ll run a Pareto Analysis to find what’s eating most of our budget.”
List all costs.
Find the 20% that make up 80% of the spend.
Focus your cuts there — not everywhere.
Then use Cost-Benefit Analysis to weigh options.
Example: Does switching vendors save money or add headaches?
You stay focused on impact — not just cutting to cut.
Scenario: A customer issue keeps repeating. Nothing sticks.
Say:
“Let’s try a Fishbone Diagram to see what’s really causing this.”
Draw the problem at the “head.”
Branch out causes: People, Tools, Process, Policy, etc.
Ask the team:
“What could be causing this?”
Gather all ideas.
Use Multi-Voting to pick the top 2–3 root causes to fix.
Bring in voices one-by-one using the Stepladder Technique to avoid group pressure.
It gets to the root — not just surface fixes.
Scenario: Marketing, Sales, Product, and Support all want different things.
Say:
“Let’s run a SWOT Analysis to map where we agree and where the gaps are.”
Let each team list their own Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.
Combine answers.
Look for overlaps — that’s your starting point.
Then run a Brainstorming session with no judgment.
Use the Nominal Group Technique to vote privately on ideas.
Ask outside experts for input using the Delphi Method.
Share their thoughts to guide the next steps.
It builds trust through process — not power plays.
Most creators are told to “solve a problem.”
That’s good advice — but it’s only half the story.
Here’s the move that makes an offer spread faster:
Solve a problem they don’t talk about — but think about all the time.
Not the obvious pain.
The quiet one. The one that makes them feel a little behind or not “ready enough.”
Here’s how to find it:
Think about the excuse people give when they don’t take action.
That’s not laziness — it’s the unspoken barrier.
Build an offer that removes just that.
Examples:
If people say, “I just don’t know where to start” — sell a clear, 30-minute starting plan.
If they say, “I don’t have time to figure this out” — offer a shortcut they can use instantly.
If they say, “I’m not sure it’ll work for me” — sell a self-check tool or simple test.
This kind of offer doesn’t scream value — it proves it fast.
You can build this kind of “quiet fix” offer inside creatyl today:
✅ Upload a 1-page guide, checklist, or tool
✅ Add a short video or offer walkthrough
✅ Launch it with one link from your storefront
It doesn’t have to be big.
It just has to remove the excuse that’s keeping them stuck.
Step 1: Choose Your Focus
Pick one of the 12 decision models that feels most useful today.
Example:
“I want to compare two choices clearly” → Decision Matrix
Or: “I need new ideas from the team” → Brainstorming
Don’t overthink it. Pick what feels most useful now.
Step 2: Find the Moment
Think ahead: When will a decision show up today?
Example:
“During our 1:1s”
“While reviewing the client options”
“In our team check-in when we talk priorities”
Choose one real moment. Don’t wait for the “perfect” one.
Step 3: Use One Part of the Model
When the moment happens, use just one piece of the model.
Examples:
Ask one person to list pros and cons out loud
Use a whiteboard to score options 1–5
Say: “Let’s pause and ask what we’re missing” (Fishbone-style thinking)
You don’t have to do it all. One action is enough.
Step 4: Watch What Changes
After that moment, ask yourself:
Did the room shift?
Did people feel clearer?
Did it help you slow down or speak up?
Even small structure changes how people respond.
Step 5: Write It Down
At the end of the day, write one sentence:
“Today, I used [Model Name] to [Action Taken]. It helped me [Result Noticed].”
That’s how real decision-making gets better — one small move at a time.
AI Prompt: “Act as a decision-making coach. Help me use one of the 12 models in a real situation today.
Details:
Situation: [Brief summary, e.g., “Choosing between two marketing plans”]
Model: [Name of the model, e.g., “SWOT” or “Brainstorming”]
Goal: [What I want, e.g., “Clarity,” “New ideas,” or “Team alignment”]
Give me:
A 3-step plan to apply the model
Simple phrases I can use in the moment
One reminder to keep me clear and focused
Use plain, helpful language. I need to apply this today.”
Pressure steals time. Process gives it back.
These models help you slow down when it counts.
They aren’t about control — they’re about clarity.
When others are overwhelmed, you’ll know where to start.
And that changes how people see you.
The best leaders don’t always know what to do — they just know how to decide.
And now, so do you.
Until next time and with lots of love,
Justin
