Hey Full Potential Zoners,
Leadership isn’t about titles— it’s about habits.
Not the habits you perform when it’s easy.
The ones you reach for when it’s not.
Not because they’re lazy.
Not because the idea isn’t good.
But because they wait for things to feel “ready.”

Scenario: People are talking over each other, nothing’s getting done.
Say the goal.
“We need a decision on X. We have 30 minutes. Here’s the plan.”
Set 2 rules.
“One person talks at a time. Everyone shares once before doubling back.”
Quick round.
“In 20 seconds: what’s your take and one risk?”
Pick an owner.
“Alex owns the outcome for this.”
End with next steps.
“Alex: draft by Tuesday. Priya: data by noon. Team: comment in doc.”
Clear rules, fast sharing, and one owner keep meetings focused and useful.
Scenario: You want someone to build something, but it’s not fully clear yet.
Check confidence.
“On a scale of 1–4, how confident do you feel leading this?”
Define success.
“You own it. Goal: 5-page guide, ready in 2 weeks, tested by 3 people.”
Set roles + checkpoints.
“You lead. I approve. HR + IT help. Send outline day 3, draft day 8.”
Track big choices.
Keep a short “Decision Log” so nothing gets lost.
The person feels clear, supported, and trusted — and you stay out of the weeds.
Scenario: High pressure launch, people are stressed, and mistakes could happen.
Start with 1-minute breathing.
Inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4. Repeat.
Do a premortem.
“If we failed, what went wrong?” Assign each risk.
Use short updates.
“Build is fine. QA is slow. Need one more tester.”
Run quick daily check-ins.
“What I did, what I’ll do, one blocker.”
End with a 4-question review.
What worked, what didn’t, what next?
Short daily habits keep the team steady, focused, and moving fast without chaos.

Not everyone wants to post selfies or record videos.
And you don’t have to.
Some of the best creators online are quiet, steady, and wildly effective — because they play to their strengths.
This week’s infographic shows you exactly how to do that:
Use the Behind-the-Scenes Peek post idea
Share 3 screenshots of how you organize your work
Caption each one simply: “Here’s how I do it. Here’s why it works.”
Schedule once a week. Done.
It builds trust and gets shares — without ever going live.
Post a one-question poll today
Ask something like: “Would you rather get a 2-minute video or a plug-and-play template?”
Reply to anyone who votes with: “Thanks! Curious to hear more if you’re up for it.”
No camera. No writing blocks. Just real feedback you can use.

Step 1: Pick your habit
Think back to a moment this week that didn’t go well — maybe a project got stuck, a message felt unclear, or a teammate shut down.
Pick one habit from the 78 Habits of Top Leaders list that could’ve helped.
(Examples: Listening, Confidence, Delegation, Resilience, Accountability, Communication.)
That’s your focus for today.
Step 2: Set your action cue
Choose a moment in your day where you’ll practice your habit — during a meeting, before a 1:1, or while replying to a message.
Add a reminder in your calendar or write it on a sticky note:
“Use my leadership habit today.”
Step 3: Take one small action
Do something that matches your chosen habit.
Here are some simple examples:
Listening: Let the other person speak first, and don’t interrupt.
Delegation: Ask someone to take the lead — and trust them to do it.
Resilience: If something goes wrong, take one breath and say: “Let’s focus on the next step.”
Communication: Repeat back what you heard to make sure it’s clear.
Step 4: Notice what changed
After your action, pause and ask:
Did something feel easier or clearer?
Did someone respond differently?
Did you feel more in control?
Step 5: End your day with one line
Before bed, write this:
“Today I practiced [habit]. It helped because _____.”
or
“Next time I need [habit], I’ll try: _____.”
AI Prompt: “Act as a leadership coach. Help me plan one simple action I can take today to practice a leadership habit I want to improve.
Leadership Habit I’m Working On: [Insert your habit — e.g., “Delegation” or “Active Listening”]
Situation I’m Likely To Face: [Insert a real moment — e.g., “Team meeting at 10 AM” or “Slack message from direct report”]
Why I Picked This Habit: [Insert your reason — e.g., “I tend to take over too much” or “I want people to feel heard”]
Based on that, give me:
One small action I can take today to build this habit
One sentence I could say to put it into action
One reminder I can tell myself before or after
A short reflection question to ask myself at the end of the day
Make sure everything is clear, simple, and easy to apply in real life.”
The best leaders don’t wait for big decisions to lead.
They show it when they pause before reacting.
When they say the hard thing with care.
When they let others go first, then listen fully.
Most of the 78 habits aren’t loud — but they change everything.
Until next time and with lots of love,
Justin
